One of my Dad’s Favorite sayings was, “Son, the more tools you have in the tool box, the more options you have to do a certain task or a specific job.”
Now Dad wasn’t talking about a screwdriver or a set of wrenches. Dad was talking about “learning.” The more you know the better you will be able to capitalize on life’s opportunities
Of course, in my early years all I heard was “Blah, blah, blah!” I preferred using my time playing and having fun.
If you were like me…Dad’s sayings got a lot smarter as I got older. You may be asking, “What does his dad’s sayings have to do with dirty clothes”?
Think of DLI and the power of knowledge it brings as a “big hammer” to your competition. Will Rogers once said, “Last year we said, ‘Things can’t go on like this’ and they didn’t…. they got worse.” Let’s face the facts…our industry is shrinking as casualization continues to be in vogue. The only way to maintain your existing sales is to steal someone else’s.
A strong knowledge of your craft and visibility to things happening in the industry will be the TOOL that propels you forward.
So, don’t sit back and say, “Blah, blah, blah,” by not using the information DLI provides. Open that toolbox and dominate the competition.
Hey Pops…. I did hear you!
In loving memory of Howard Edward Nesbit.
